Roti Prata is probably one of the most common dish in Singapore that not only Indians, but everyone loves. You can view Roti prata as some form of Singaporean pancake that is common, staple and most importantly, delicious.
However, if you feel that the usual prata with egg, onion, cheese with curry is a bit too common for you, try out the pratas at The Prata Place. We promise that you’ll be extremely spoiled for choices!
Honestly, we went crazy when we saw their menu. Read on and you will know what we’re talking about.
The Prata Place has 2 outlets, its main one at Thong Soon Avenue, and two branch at Nanyang Polytechnic block E, and Ang Mo Kio. What’s their selling point? Their very extensive menu, for one.
Thosai itself has 25 types. Thosai, a fermented crepe made from rice batter and black lentils, a staple dish in South India has flavours ranging from the usual plain to Masala Onion (which sounds delicious) to the special Uthapam. Uthapam is a special type of Thosai that instead of having its crepe like quality, it has a pancake-like quality, and it is cooked with a variety of toppings, like onion, carrot, and coriander.
Well, if that doesn’t make you drool, take a look at the Prata menu. For The Prata Place, there are 2 types of prata: the Roti Prata, and Specialty Pratas, the latter being more unique and therefore interesting.
The Prata Place has common flavours like other prata stores in Singapore:Â plain (kosong), cheese, egg and cheese, egg and garlic, and egg and chilli prata.
However, its specialty pratas is what we’re really looking at. Think red bean prata, milky prata, roti bomb, floss, and plaster. Sounds ridiculous right? We were most interested in the red bean flavoured prata.
What’s more, The Prata Place is famous for their Chicken Floss Prata, so why not try these funky pratas instead of the usual boring ones?
They open from 7am to midnight, so your insane prata cravings will definitely be satisfied
