Like everything else, it appears that the notion of a ‘dream job’ is largely subjective.

To some, a dream job entails doing what they love for a living, whether it’s writing, painting or even gaming.

And to others, a dream job involves competing at the highest level, going head-to-head against some of the best names in the industry.

It’s really dependent on the person’s interests and intentions.

And so, it’s hardly surprising how this particular job has been described to be an absolute dream by a percentage of the Internet.

Because ‘societally unacceptable’ as it may be, some just want to kick back, relax and do whatever they want in their spare time and get paid for it…

A job scope that this particular appointment appears to have covered exceedingly well.

Local Company Paying You $2,000 to Do Whatever You Want for 3 Days

The folks over at home renovation portal Vehs.com are offering $2,000 for you to fulfill a relatively easy job scope:

Simply go about your usual home routine for three days, and you’ll be $2,000 richer by the end of it.

Talk about a dream job for some.

According to a job advertisement on their Facebook page, the working hours are 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. from 27 November to 29 November, during which you’ll be housed in a mobile showroom.

Apparently, you’re free to do whatever you want within that time frame. As long as you comply with Covid-19 safety measures, anything’s fair game.

In addition, three meals will be provided, and you’ll even have your own personal Alfred (butler) to assist you with anything you need.

Though unspecified, we speculate that Alfred could be used for major things such as impromptu grocery and midnight prata runs.

Also, you can probably send Alfred away if you fancy some alone time in your… ‘batcave’.

Cons?

Everything has its pros and cons, and we’re not suspecting any different for this particular dream job, which simply sounds too good to be true.

And yet, are the cons even cons in this case?

Apparently, you’re in charge of appointing a new location for your mobile home office every day. And even then, transportation will be arranged from your home to your ‘workplace’.

Kinda feels like someone’s paying you to vacation, if you ask me.

Additionally, one side of the “room” is reportedly transparent, which means that curious passers-by can peek inside for a little look.

In that sense, your privacy may admittedly be somewhat compromised.

Also, there isn’t an inbuilt toilet, so you’ll be wise to appoint a location with a plethora of clean washrooms available.

According to an exclusive interview with AsiaOne, Vehs.com revealed that the showroom will be situated on a 14ft lorry, and is furnished to resemble a fully-done bedroom.

There’s also air-con, wifi, a mini-fridge with wine, a printer, a bed and even a Playstation 4 console.

The job ad’s reportedly part of a campaign for their inaugural virtual home reno expo in December. The mobile showroom, it seems, is set to be a permanent fixture for the company.

And So… The All-Important Question Begets

How on earth do you get accepted for the job?

Well, here goes.

Simply pen a ‘resume’ in around 30 words in the comments section of their Facebook post, and you may just be the lucky one to get the job.

And no worries about overshooting their application deadline too, as it has since been extended to 17 November 2020.

Just keep in mind, however, that the competition’s fierce.

To date, the Facebook post has collated a whopping 1K comments, many of which have proved exceedingly ‘bloodthirsty’ despite the word count.

On the other hand, some prioritised creativity over anything else.
