The story first broke on 17 October 2024, when a woman claiming to be the vice-principal’s wife shared explicit photos and messages between her husband and the parent.

The photos, posted on Facebook, showed the pair in intimate poses, and the messages detailed their meetings and agreements on how to maintain contact, despite their affair.

The wife, who has been married to the vice-principal for over 30 years, also provided screenshots of their explicit conversations, including an Instagram post of the pair hugging, which was captioned, “You who have always silently protected me. Thank you,” accompanied by heart emojis.

These posts were later deleted but had already garnered significant attention.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the vice-principal’s wife became aware of the affair on 16 October 2024.

She revealed that the relationship had been ongoing for about a year and a half, though she had only started suspecting it a few months prior.

She mentioned noticing changes in her husband’s behavior, including frequent claims of being low on money despite purchasing gifts for others.

The Aftermath (So Far)

On 18 October, the MOE confirmed that it was aware of the situation and had received the vice-principal’s resignation.

The former vice-principal is now on leave while the ministry investigates.

In a statement, MOE emphasized the importance of school leaders maintaining high personal standards to protect the integrity of the public service.

The school has yet to release an official statement, but the vice-principal’s name has been removed from the school’s website.

MOE assured the public that the school will continue to monitor the well-being of students and staff and provide necessary support during this period.

In a separate Facebook post made on 20 October, the wife shared a cryptic quote that many interpreted as referencing the affair.
