Video Of 7-VS-1 Struggle Between Alleged Drug Offender & Police Gets Shared Online

When you play games like Mobile Legends, you know you’re probably doomed when you’re trying to steal the enemy’s buff and four of them come at you from all sides.

It’s 4V1. Quid pro quo.

In real life, that’s not exactly the case. Four people might not be enough to apprehend one person. Especially when they’re (allegedly) high on drugs and/or a suspected drug-related offender.

Video Of 7-VS-1 Struggle Between Alleged Drug Offender & Police Gets Shared Online

On 19 October, a video was shared on All Singapore Stuff’s Facebook page. It featured a group of seven policemen trying to subdue a man.

He was allegedly either high on drugs or a drug offender. Either way, it looked like trying to catch a fish fresh out of the water with oily hands.

Here’s the video:

The 15-second video begins with the policemen talking to the man. Pretty intimidating I’d say. Suddenly, he backs away and tries to run away.

Three of the policemen seem to try to grab his sling bag to grab ahold of him while the other four still relax one corner at the back. Okay, they’re “looking water”.

It quickly erupts into a 5v1(?) struggle as they surround him. At this moment, the bag has fallen. It lies forgotten on the ground and gets kicked by various feet in the scuffle.

They try their best to get a grip of him but he just slithers out of their grasp every time.

In another frame, a policeman has fallen (to the ground) and gets stepped on by feet.

The video ends as other officers rush forth to help.

The video has since garnered over 123,000 views and over 1,000 shares on Facebook.

Man Became Violent

The police has since told Mothership that the incident had happened at Woodlands Street 22 at 18 October, at 10.10am.

A man was seen shouting incoherently. He is 23-year-old. However, when the officer tried to talk to him, he became violent.

The man was later arrested for using criminal force and suspected drug-related offences.

He has been referred to the Institute of Mental Health as he is believed to be of unsound mind.

So, whoever says that it’s easy to be a police officer in Singapore needs to watch this video. The risk is real.
