Person A: Wah, finally! Got empty seats on the train!
Person B: Eh, better hurry up, or not later all the aunties take the seat again.
While it is a stereotype, I’m pretty sure we can agree that there exists many aunties who usually rush into the MRT.
And good luck to anyone who gets in their way.
Sometimes, some of them are willing to even risk their lives.
Umm, I’m sure waiting for the next train beats losing your life, right?
Auntie Hulk
One particular auntie clearly did not care about the consequences when she tried to run into a train. With doors that were already closed.
Now, most aunties would’ve left it there and wait (impatiently) for the next train.
Not Auntie Hulk though.
Grasping the edge of the platform doors with her fingers, she summoned strength that you didn’t know existed in that little body and opened it up.
She managed to squeeze her way through only to run into another problem.
Stuck Between Doors
For a moment, you’d think she’s a goner.
But luckily for her, the train did not move off.
Whether it’s due to someone pressing the emergency stop button or the sensors working well, it wasn’t known.
Passengers in the train were seen trying to open the train doors to pull her in. Bystanders also tried to open the screen doors to remove her from being stuck.
The Auntie That Got Away
In the end, just like the girl who got away (safely) in every guy’s life, the auntie was pulled into the train.
The train doors opened again and she was lambasted (inferred from the video) for her reckless actions.
After a short while, the train doors finally closed and brought her away from the place she probably never wants to be at again.
She can be seen rubbing her arms, probably because she had just been manhandled by the doors.
Hopefully, the pain that she suffered from this would teach her a good lesson to never rush into a train like that again. She may be lucky this time, but not the next time.

Other Cases
Some others were not as lucky as her.
In Seoul, there were three reported cases in 2016 of people dying because they were stuck between the train door and the screen doors.
So remember, next time you’re rushing and you see the doors closing, don’t try your luck in squeezing through. It’s better to be late to wherever you’re supposed to go than to end up on your death bed.
