You want to visit JB, but the thought of the same old makan places are just killing you.
As a local to the state, I’m here to bring you the best-hidden spots in JB. Prepare yourself for a gastronomical feast, and maybe even a food-cation!
Bai Her Nyonya Fish Curry
This fish curry is lovingly made and has an ingredient that’s unusual and shines throughout the dish – lots of cabbage! It’s not a spicy dish either, but more on with notes of sweet from pineapple chunks.
Address: 6 Jalan Molek 2/1, Taman Molek 81100 JB Timings: Daily 11am – 3pm, 5.30pm – 10.30pm. Closed every Thursday
Ho Seng Kee Wantan Mee

Kway Teow Kia Meng Fang
The Cedar Point Food Court is where this humble stall hails from. The soup is generously ladled over your noodles, and it has a herbaceous undertone with a slight sweet hint. For once, the noodles and side dishes don’t taste like they’ve been drowned in soy sauce and salt!

Bak Kut Teh Shoon Fa
