Watch: Food Panda Rider Saves Woman Who Attempted Suicide in Klang River

I‘ve said it often and I’ll say it again:

Food delivery men aren’t just food delivery men; they are heroes without capes.

Just think about it. All those long, lonely nights during which you craved for a bite of supper. All the torrential rainy days that forced you to stay indoors. That fateful day when your gramps was starving and threatened to pass into the void if he wasn’t fed within the next hour.

The food delivery men did it.

Granted, they aren’t the most athletic. They aren’t the most valiant. And more often than not, they don’t possess X-Ray vision. But even still, they’re undeniable heroes.

Heroes we need, but don’t deserve.

Food delivery men, everybody.

And well, it seems that their heroics extend to much more than just food delivery. Because the article I’m about to pen speaks about a food delivery man so valiant and so brave, that he went far beyond his job scope…

And saved a woman, who had attempted suicide in Klang River.

Heroes we need, but don’t deserve.

According to WorldOfBuzza young woman had tried to take her own life, only to have her efforts foiled by a passing FoodPanda delivery man.

The scene was captured on camera and subsequently uploaded to social media.

In the video, the FoodPanda rider could be seen jumping down from a rocky ledge before venturing through murky waters to the body of the woman, who seems to be lying face-first on the surface of the water.

When he reaches her, he drags her by her arms, flips her onto her back, and carries her body out from the water and towards dry land.

A coincidental moment. A choice of a lifetime.

Onslaught Of Praise

Uploaded on Friday (22 Nov 2019), the video has since gone on to garner 40K views, 360 shares, and 1K likes and reactions.

A whopping 119 comments were present on the segment, and unsurprisingly, they were full of praise for the hero in question:

Though of course, there were some question marks over the incident as well.

Whether it’s true, though, is really up to anyone’s guess.

Kudos

In the introductory paragraph, I mentioned that food delivery men are essentially unsung heroes without capes.

And well, let’s just say that this article’s not gonna change that perception anytime soon.

As such, let’s all rise up once again, to give credit to the FoodPanda delivery man in question.

It’s no easy feat to step beyond your job boundaries; it’s certainly no easy feat to trek through murky waters to rescue a fallen body.

Kudos, and a job well done! 🙂
