Especially in West Coast GRC.
West Coast GRC Facing 3-Way Fight & It Includes Tan Cheng Bock’s Party
Comprising of 146,251 electors according to the Election Department (ELD), West Coast GRC will be witness to a three-way battle this upcoming General Election (GE):
- People’s Action Party
- The Reform Party
- Progress Singapore Party
Currently, the constituency belongs to PAP, led by Minister for Communications and Information S. Iswaran.
On 14 Mar 2020, the Reform Party (RP) has indicated its interest to run for the West Coast GRC. They are planning to run for the three constituencies they contested in the last elections:
- Ang Mo Kio GRC
- West Coast GRC
- Radin Mas SMC
On 13 June, the Progress Singapore Party (PSP) announced that they’re running for West Coast GRC as well.

Team For West Coast GRC Almost Finalised
Assistant secretary-general Leong Mun Wai said that the party is going to contest lesser seats than previously announced.
Initially, they had said that they will run for 44 seats but has adjusted it down to 29.
It was added that the party has “more or less” given up on the Bishan-Toa Payoh constituency.
Four out of five members of the team for West Coast GRC has been finalised as well.
Led by Dr Tan Cheng Bock, his other members are:
- Hazel Poa, who was formerly the acting secretary-general of the National Solidarity Party (NSP) before she left the party in 2015
- Jeffrey Khoo, the chief marketing officer for the Asia Pacific region at Ed., a wholesale insurance and reinsurance broker
- Nadarajah Loganathan, the principal consultant at Acuate, which offers corporate training courses
Previously, when Dr Tan was still with the PAP, he served as the MP for Ayer Rajah SMC, which has been absorbed into West Coast GRC, for six terms in a row.
The PSP is planning to hold weekly meet-up sessions via Zoom with West Coast and Pioneer residents.
