There’s a number of things that could terrify even the most hardened male: a kick to the nuts, a football to the nuts, backlash while cracking nuts and many more.
But none, in my oh so humble opinion, comes close to this one:
Having your girlfriend read your messages when you’re not around.
Now, make no mistake; we have nothing to hide. But once in a while, we do kind of slip up, whether it’s that joke about blonde girls with your best friends or a text you sent to some random number while you’re drunk.
Believe us; we try to keep them to a minimum, but as they say, “Prince Charming only exists in fairy tales, unless you’re Barack Obama.”
So imagine our united sighs of relief, when we found out that WhatsApp, the most happening messaging platform in the world right now, might be rolling out a Face ID or Touch ID recognition system soon.
According to WABetaInfo, it appears that a new feature is being worked on for the software. And if the source is correct (which, if you’d have remembered, they often get it right), your privacy issues might be resolved once and for all, because the outlet’s insisting that…
Support for Touch ID and Face ID on Apple devices is currently “under development” at the company.
However, it has indicated that the function is still in its early stages of development, but the basic premise is that the app can only be opened once the identity has been verified.
Don’t just take it from us; take it…
From the pictures.
Or to be more specific, WABetaInfo’s images.
Here, we can see an option to activate Face ID recognition whenever WhatsApp is launched.
And below, you can clearly see a Touch ID option.
And apparently, should either verification method receive too many wrong attempts, the app will proceed to ask the user for their iPhone password in order to open the client.
And that’s not all
If you’ve been keeping up with #GoodyNews over the weekend, you would know that WhatsApp’s all set to launch another brand new feature:
Yeah, the feature that made Line & Telegram so fun to interact on… is coming to your favourite messaging platform.
Incidentally, you can read more about it in this article.
Deleted WhatsApp before?
Well, it’s time to get it back.
Because as unbelievable as it sounds… this overused app that has been around for centuries…
Might be here to stay for another few centuries.
Though we’ve got to admit: why come out with the blue ticks first? #justsaying
