A 70-year-old wheelchair-bound man was found dead in his flat on 30 Apr 2025 after neighbours noticed a foul smell coming from the unit.
The discovery was made around 9pm at a third-floor unit in Block 8, North Bridge Road.
Police officers were seen entering and leaving the flat throughout the evening as they conducted their investigation.

Neighbours Notice Odour
The deceased had been living alone in the flat for more than 10 years since moving in, reported Shin Min Daily News.
According to residents in the same block, he required a wheelchair for mobility due to issues with his legs and feet.
A male resident who lives on the same floor told reporters that he had interacted with the elderly man just the weekend before the discovery.
“I was busy these days and didn’t see him. I didn’t expect this to happen,” the neighbour said.
Another resident, Mr Chen, 76, mentioned that the deceased had lived alone for many years and was last seen approximately a week before his body was found.
“He was quite stout and usually had to rely on a wheelchair to get around,” Mr Chen said.
Police Investigation
The alarm was raised when a neighbour living opposite the man’s unit could no longer tolerate the smell and contacted authorities.
When reporters visited the hallway, a faint smell of decay was still present in the area.
