Another Woman Caught on Camera Blocking Car With Body Near JB Checkpoint

Another woman has been caught blocking traffic with her body at the Johor Bahru checkpoint,  this time on, 31 October.

She allegedly did that to help two Singapore-registered vans cut the queue during heavy congestion.

The incident, which took place at the Sultan Iskandar building, was captured on video by a driver whose vehicle was obstructed and later uploaded to social media.

In a video uploaded by the Facebook user, the woman, dressed in a pink t-shirt, stands in front of a vehicle at the checkpoint, preventing it from moving forward. Despite being honked at multiple times, she remained unfazed, even gesturing for two white Singapore-registered vans to merge into the lane ahead of her.

The 6-second clip shows her signalling the vans with her hand, directing each one to enter the lane.

According to Shin Min Daily News, the vans belong to a Singapore-based logistics company and frequently travel between Singapore and Malaysia.

The driver involved in the incident, a Malaysian surnamed Chen, told Shin Min Daily News that around 9:10 pm, while driving with a friend to Singapore, his vehicle was unexpectedly blocked by the woman, who he says emerged “suddenly” and began yelling at him.

Chen, who had been watching the traffic flow, was surprised when she moved in front of his vehicle to guide the two vans into his lane.

The woman held her position in front of Chen’s car for approximately 30 seconds, ignoring honks from him and other drivers.

It should be noted that unlike previous incidents, the driver did not inch forward.

According to the logistics company, the woman was neither a passenger nor affiliated with their vans, and their drivers had only proceeded after observing her wave them through.

On 1 November, Chen filed a report with Malaysian authorities, submitting evidence, including the video and photos, to assist in the investigation.

He later shared the video online, emphasizing a reminder for drivers: “If you want to change lanes, please remember to switch on the turn signal or open your car window and wave your hand.”

Malaysian police confirmed the incident took place within their jurisdiction and are currently gathering more information to further investigate.

As of now, there has been no additional report from witnesses or other involved parties, but authorities are looking into the matter further.
