Woman Complained Online About Engagement Ring Size, Then Realised It’s Because Her Fiance Got Robbed

As everyone knows, love is directly proportional to the value of a gift.  So, if I make a heartfelt card for my girlfriend and you buy yours a Snickers bar, you love your girlfriend more.

I’m obviously kidding because no one is that materialistic, right?

“Little Ass Ring”

One woman from the UK who was recently engaged slammed her future fiance for proposing to her with an engagement ring that was too small.

The woman shared a picture of the ring in a Twitter post, describing her disappointment with her long-term boyfriend.

She said she was disappointed that after talking about marriage for three years and dating for eight, he gave her this “little ass ring” for their engagement.

“This is the ring he said he saved up to buy me. Am I being shady or materialistic if I tell this mf I don’t want this little ass ring?”, she said.

By the way, since she’s already wearing it, doesn’t that mean—

But anyways.

Netizen response

As with every single issue on the internet, netizens were divided.

Some criticized her for being materialistic:

Others supported her and believed the man could have done better.

Plot twist

However, just two hours after she posted the photo, she responded to her original post, apologizing for being ungrateful.

Apparently, her fiance bought that ring because he was robbed on the way to pick up the ring he actually wanted to get her.

Should love really be measured by the size of an engagement ring, though?

Then again, this ring below only costs $7, so can we really blame her?

Ladies, your turn: would you judge the man who’s marrying you based on the size of the ring he got you?

And gentlemen, how far are you willing to spend on an engagement ring?
