Firefighters and rescue specialists from the elite Disaster Assistance and Rescue Team (DART) were deployed to the scene.
An SCDF paramedic administered pain-relief medication and monitored the woman’s vital signs throughout the operation.
An emergency medical team from Ng Teng Fong General Hospital was also present on site to provide additional medical support.
A diner who finished his meal at 7.30pm witnessed SCDF officers dismantling the machine to free the woman’s hand. The rescue operation took approximately two hours, with the woman’s hand finally released at 8.30pm.
