Woman, 44, Arrested after Knife Attack Injures Two at Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre

A 44-year-old woman was arrested on 26 Oct 2025 after she allegedly attacked two people with a knife at Upper Serangoon Shopping Centre, reported Lianhe Zaobao.​

The Singapore Police Force received a call for assistance at 12:20pm at 756 Upper Serangoon Road, where the shopping centre is located.

The Attack

The incident took place on the third floor of the mall. The suspect allegedly attacked two women with a knife during what appears to be a gathering at a church operating on the mall premises.​

About 30 people, including children, were inside the venue when the attack occurred, according to a shop owner. Police arrested the woman for voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon.​

Victims and Injuries

The two victims, aged 36 and 44, sustained injuries during the attack and were taken to hospital while conscious. A 59-year-old man who helped restrain the suspect suffered minor injuries but declined medical treatment.​

Police seized a knife from the scene as evidence.​

Police investigations are ongoing.
