The feminist movement is on the rise all around the world today. And there are more and more females now calling for more rights to be given to them.
No matter whether you think that the feminist movement is something necessary or just a joke, you’ve got to admit some things are needed to change.
Like what happened to this lady.
Lady Walking Along The Streets When She Got ‘Catcalled’
A woman was walking along the streets of Bukit Baru, Melaka, when the incident happened.
She was walking alone behind the Pos Malaysia Berhad’s office when two men, allegedly in Pos Malaysia uniform, started harassing her.
They were a distance away from her and started teasing her.
Feeling disturbed and helpless, she took out her smartphone and pretended to film their actions, hoping they’ll leave her alone.
Unfortunately for her, these two men were not happy with her actions and started shouting insults at her.
She added that it was frustrating to see how men can get away with behaviour like these.

So there you are, thinking, yeah, sane people would think behaviour like these are unacceptable.
Since, you know, you’re making somebody uncomfortable.
However, this dude doesn’t seem to think so.
Stop Overreacting
He felt that she should have simply acted normal unless there is physical contact initiated.
Then, all bets are off.
Upon seeing the comment, the husband of the woman immediately called him out.
He said that trying to normalise behaviour like these is what enabled them to carry on acting this way.
Which we agree.
Don’t be that guy.
Pos Alerted To The Incident & Took Action
In a follow up to his tweet, the husband of the woman told his followers that Pos has contacted the couple to apologise.
They’ve also assured the couple that they made sure to highlight to the staff of that particular branch how inappropriate their behaviour was.
Netizens Voice Support For The Couple
Some felt that these Pos guys should be ashamed of themselves.
While others advised the couple to make a police report against them.
Ladies also stepped forward to relate their experience of being harassed and catcalled by men on the streets.
Well, one thing for sure, it’s not just ladies who feel they should be protected. There are guys (read: commenters) who felt that the woman shouldn’t have to go through harassment just because “boys will be boys”.
And be careful what you say online, yeah?
After all, there have been plenty who’ve made stupid comments on Facebook and got hunted down and mobbed by the netizens of Singapore. #JustSaying
