If you still think of HDB as dull, utilitarian slabs of concrete, you’re either:
- still living in an older flat yourself
- or just greatly mistaken.
Recently, the BTO projects that are advertised have proven to be very attractive, like this estate which is famous for having no cars (the roads are underground) and also being a “Forest Town”, with lots of lush green spaces.

Who would’ve thought that just three days later, we’ll bring you news of another BTO project, UrbanVille, that has a sky bridge of all things?
Sky Bridge and Sky Terraces
UrbanVille features 1,785 units across 8 residential blocks that are 14 to 32 storeys tall.
As released on HDB’s Facebook page:
Bounded by Woodlands Avenue 2 and Avenue 5, UrbanVille @ Woodlands comprises 8 residential blocks with heights ranging from 14 to 32 storeys. You can choose from 1,785 units of 2-room Flexi, 3-, 4-, and 5-room flats. UrbanVille @ Woodlands will have a distinctive profile, with a sky bridge located at the 24th storey offering panoramic views of the town. The Estimated Completion Date of UrbanVille @ Woodlands is 2Q2026.
As mentioned, its most notable feature is a sky bridge on the 24th storey that runs between a pair of buildings. Here’s the money shot.
Besides that, some blocks have sky terraces and all blocks will have a roof garden for residents to enjoy.
Another roof garden will also be on top of the Multi-Storey Car Park.
Such high rise attractions promise a pleasing view of the area, and hopefully an environment that is windier than it is hot.

Other outdoor facilities include playgrounds, fitness stations and a hardcourt.
A supermarket, an eating house, restaurants, shops, a childcare centre and a Residents’ Committee Centre will also be in the vicinity.
Surrounding Amenities
Located between Woodlands Avenue 2 and Avenue 5, UrbanVille is well connected to useful amenities like Causeway Point and Woodlands Civic Centre.
Most importantly, it is near Woodlands MRT station, which is connected to UrbanVille by a pedestrian and cycling link.
Of course, another unofficial perk of living in Woodlands is its proximity to Malaysia, proving convenient for a quick weekend getaway (if this pandemic ever ends, that is).

For anyone eyeing this residential hub, UrbanVille is due for completion in 2026, needing 62 months to build due to Covid-19.
Well, I don’t need to be Jamus Lim to know that this project is going to be selling like hotcakes.
It looks really similar to Pinnacle@Duxton:
And we all know what happened to the price value of units there.
