In the latest episode of Nightmare Neighbours, an elderly at Woodlands decided that his upstairs neighbour’s home is a good place to throw his waste.

Here’s what happened.

Harassing Family Since The Beginning Of 2021

According to the victim, Mr Cao, who stays on the fifth floor of block 626, Woodlands Ave 6, the elderly man has been harassing his family since the beginning of the year.

In Feb 2021, he noticed a pile of rubbish on his airconditioner ledge, including fruit peels and leftover food, leading to a terrible stench.

After, when he started paying attention, he realised it was the elderly man living on the level below his home.

The elderly man allegedly threw rubbish at his home from his kitchen window, every 2 to 3 days.

Once, they even managed to catch the elderly man’s actions on camera.

Driven to their wits’ end, the couple lodged a police report and hung a canvas, hoping to deter the elderly man.

Things calmed down for a month after but it did not last.

Throwing Eggs

On 19 May, the family discovered, to their dismay, that the elderly man was allegedly back to his old tricks again.

This time, with eggs.

The family discovered that someone was throwing eggs in the direction of their kitchen window.

When they looked at the elderly man’s home, his master bedroom’s windows were open, leading to them suspecting him.

Who knew, when Mr Cao was making a police report, the elderly man turned up, this time outside his home.

In his arm was a box of eggs, which were thrown into the victim’s home.

Not only did Mr Cao had eggs thrown on his arms and head, but the corridor and his living room were also plastered with raw eggs.

The CCTV in the living room captured the entire incident and the victim quickly closed the door, urging the police to “come faster”.

Seeking Legal Help

The family are deeply troubled by their nightmare neighbour.

Mr Cao is especially concerned about the safety of his two children aged 7 and 10 years old.

Currently, he keeps his home’s windows and doors closed.

The police recommend that the family seek legal counsel and they’ve proceeded to lodge a complaint in court.

Neighbours interviewed said that the elderly man breaks out into vulgarities at times, and none of them dared to interact with him.

Old Man’s Response

The elderly man denied his actions, claiming that he did not throw eggs or rubbish at the victim’s home.

When shown the video clip of him doing so, the elderly man says the perpetrator cannot be seen clearly.

In fact, he claims, the family turned on their radio too loudly at night, affecting his slumber.

He added that he’s made multiple police reports regarding this issue.

When hearing about this, the victim was aggrieved.

They pointed out that, with their two kids, the family will never turn on the radio past 9 pm.

Throughout the ten years, they’ve stayed there, they did not have much interaction with the elderly man, and wondered about the motivations behind his actions.
