Workers’ Party’s Latest Video Has Nicole Seah Talking & It’s Like a Netflix Documentary

Campaigning this election will be different.

Traditional rallies like this would have to be reserved for the next election instead:

Now, everything has to go digital.

While several parties have started posting videos online, Workers’ Party, the most recognised and only opposition party with members in Parliament, posted a video so professionally done, you’d watch it more than twice not just to hear Nicole Seah speak again, but for the music and its perfect edit.

Here, watch it and you’d agree:

The video is narrated by candidates and led by their head, Pritam Singh.

Yes, it’s kind of like a Netflix documentary.

Throughout the video, each candidate explains why they’ve joined the Workers’ Party and relate their journey in the party so far.

What’s particularly impressive is that at no point did they bash the increment Government or make any attacks—instead, most of them were focusing on one point.

Let their Secretary-General explain it in a subtle way: “What we hope to achieve is to create contrast: a balance, so that you can see clearly the road ahead.”

Reader Bao: Wah, too chim. So what did Nicole Seah say? Did she say where she’d be contesting? I’m moving to where she contests.

Erm, no. She did, however, relate a story, whereby after a house visit, a resident ran after them with an umbrella, and they thought that they would be assaulted only to realise that he wanted to show them his WP umbrella.

In fact, just when you thought you’re here for Nicole Seah, you realise all the candidates speak just as well (if not, better) as our dear Nicole Seah.

The video, posted just 4 hours ago, had already garnered well over 1.5k Shares.

It’s still unknown where Workers’ Party would contest in, but sources have told The Straits Times that they might be going for Aljunied, East Coast, Marine Parade group representation constituencies, Hougang single-member constituency, as well as the new Sengkang GRC.

Given that rallies would now be online, I bet my vote that you’d be seeing more professionally made videos by politicians, too.
