The Cheesecake Factory coming to Raffle Places as Beverly Hills Cheesecake
Relax, I’m not lying to you about The Cheesecake Factory coming to Singapore. In their Facebook page, they constantly refer to themselves as The Cheesecake Factory.
And for the people who know nothing about America, The Cheesecake Factory is an American chain of restaurant most well known for serving cheesecake (duh), a menu that’s confusingly large, and big portions.
Yeah, no joke. Big portions. You can check the Wikipedia page. You know portions are BIG if even Americans are saying it’s big. Though, I doubt the portions will be brought over here in S’pore.
Why the name change?
So, why the name change? It’s not like everybody knew The Cheesecake Factory’s first official outlet in 1978 was in Beverly Hills. Or that the founder Evelyn Overton opened a cheesecake outlet in the 1950s but gave it up to raise her children.
Is it because they hated sentences like “The Cheesecake Factory cheesecake factory manufactures cheesecake at the factory”?
I went into BizFile.gov.sg and it turns out there was another business registered as “Cheesecake Factory” before in Far East Shopping Centre.
So maybe that’s a possible explanation? I’m not legally literate enough to tell you why there might be complications even though the status for the “Cheesecake Factory” name is terminated though.
Wait, it’s July but it says Opening June!
Our latest news is that the opening is slightly delayed, but maybe it will open right as this article goes up 😉
So… what are you waiting for?
There isn’t much information about the menu or anything else yet, but you can expect to try items like original cheesecake, white chocolate raspberry truffle, fresh strawberry cheesecake, and others for a total of more than 35 desserts.
