Xiaxue is everywhere—from being Singapore’s OG Blogger to eventual forays into YouTube, Instagram, and now TikTok livestreams.
Yes, you read that right. Xiaxue has hopped on the TikTok selling trend and just did her first livestream sale selling “beauty scoops”.
Xiaxue Now Livestreaming on TikTok to Sell “Beauty Scoops” on TikTok Shop
On Monday (26 June), Cheng Yan Yan Wendy, commonly known as Xiaxue, went live on TikTok.
It was so unexpected that people thought it was AI instead of the real Xiaxue on the livestream.
As it turns out, the influencer was selling “beauty scoops” on TikTok shop during her livestream.
It appears that she was selling these “beauty scoops” for prices as low as $12. These “beauty scoops” included various beauty products, including jelly masks and lip plumpers.
Lelong, lelong!
All “Beauty Scoops” Sold Out By End of Xiaxue’s TikTok Livestream; Xiaxue to Host Second Livestream Soon
Despite most of these beauty products looking like free beauty product samples, demand was still high.
When the 39-year-old’s livestream ended, all the “beauty scoops” were sold out.
Regardless, if you missed Xiaxue’s livestream yesterday night, fret not. The influencer shared on her Instagram that she’ll host a second livestream sale on TikTok shop soon.
Modern pasar malam.
Xiaxue Livestreams on Second TikTok Account
If you’re looking to join Xiaxue’s next TikTok livestream sale, do take note to watch the livestream on the correct account—she now has two TikTok accounts.
Her original TikTok account, where she has two TikToks up from 2021, is named @xiaxue.
Duh. What other name would she use?
However, the TikTok account she uses to do her livestream sales for TikTok shop is a second account named @xiaxuehunts.
And no, it wasn’t because she forgot her original TikTok account’s password.
Xiaxue said it was because she had signed up for TikTok shop using her email.
If you didn’t know, there are a few methods to sign up for TikTok shop—email, mobile number or your existing TikTok account.
Presumably, her email was linked to @xiaxuehunts instead of her original TikTok account, @xiaxue.
How TikTok Shop Works
Xiaxue and other influencers aren’t the only ones who can do livestream sales on TikTok. You can too.
If you didn’t already know, anyone can sign up for TikTok shop and get paid.
How TikTok shop works is this: creators who sign up with TikTok shop can sell TikTok shop’s products on livestreams or on “shoppable TikTok videos”.
This allows sellers on TikTok shop to reach out to more audiences who will buy their products and allows creators to get paid.
Perhaps that nine-to-five job isn’t the only option you have.
If you’d like to find out more about TikTok shop and why items sold there are so affordable, Goody Feed’s blue cats explain it in this video, aptly on TikTok:
