Unless you’ve never been to the Internet, you’d know that Xiaxue is the queen of all blogs. In fact, she’s so pioneer, she’s still using blogspot for her blog. That’s such an upgrade from GeoCities.
And if you’ve really never been to the Internet, I thank you for finding us the moment you first stepped into this weird world called the World Wide Web, and here’s a brief recap of what’s happened.
The GE2020 is also known as the PR2020 aka Police Reports 2020.
So far, it’s alleged that eight police reports have been made that are directly or indirectly related to the general elections, and the folks at Mothership.sg appear to have an exclusive image of how police officers are feeling now:
It kind of started because two police reports were lodged against Workers’ Party’s Raeesah Khan, who has allegedly posted things that are considered insensitive two years ago:
Khan has since apologised publicly, but many felt that the police reports were unwarranted and that the law against promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion or race was being weaponised for political gain.
Netizens took to Twitter to express their support for Khan and shared pictures of cats in a show of solidarity.
But some took it further: they made police reports against people who’ve made insensitive comments in the past, and one of which is Xiaxue.
The person even posted an Instagram TV video to show us how he “cancelled” Xiaxue:
And it seems like it’s a real report, because according to the queen herself, the men and women in blue did pay a visit to her house to take a statement.
She wrote an entire blog post about her response and the incident, and because it’s written by the queen herself, it’s an extremely entertaining read which you can access here.
It’s easily digestible but because it’s peppered with words that are NSFW, so we’ve summarised everything here for you in point forms so you won’t need to worry if your granny is looking at your screen now.
It’s Real
When it was revealed that people were anyhowly making police reports, we wonder if some of them were fake.
Well, for Xiaxue’s case, it’s real.
According to her, the police went to her house yesterday (7 July 2020) to take a statement, and just like what you’ve often read about cops in Singapore, she said they were “pretty nice”.
Addressing the Tweets in Question
She then addressed the tweets in question, and gave some context about her life; she’s very passionate about “the safety of women in Singapore when it comes to sexual assault by a certain group of foreigners,” and have been “sexually assaulted by members of this group” when she was younger.
However, you can see that she didn’t refer them to a “race” but a group instead—in fact, it’s a “a tiny subcategory of them.”
Those incidents in the past caused her to be angry, and she had one goal: to “help/warn other young victims,” and the tweets are merely “a very small slice of a much larger story.”
Pertaining to the other tweet that touched on the N word, she highlighted that she “didn’t use it on anyone or carelessly to seem cool.”
Now, whether you’re a hater or a fan, you might be emotionally affected now, so here’s a cute cat to break down this long article:
Happy now? Let’s move on.
About the Police Report
For a start, the queen is confident that the “judiciary system in Singapore will not unjustly convict” her, and it’s not because she invented the Internet, but because what she believed that what she posted was “not incendiary, or offended any race/religions in Singapore.”
Instead, it was supposedly a “coordinated effort by the intolerant mob as part of their toxic cancel culture.”
I’m shook that Xiaxue is so woke about youngsters’ lingo, but lest you’re as sleepy (pretty sure I get this right) as me, to “cancel” someone in the Internet world is to cancel your Internet subscription.
Or it can also mean that people will look at you differently (with no respect) on the Internet, and are used mainly online for influencers or celebrities.
So don’t say you’ve cancelled your boss. That’s not lit at all.
She then said that their efforts, which includes writing to her clients to stop them from working with her, won’t just affect her but innocent people as well, like her family members and employees, and here are some powerful sentences that might be quoted by our great-grandchildren in 2099: “Your temper tantrum is 100% for selfish reasons. You don’t give a f*** about a social cause. You only care about feeling powerful and feeling like you are some kind of savior of mankind.”
I feel so woke.
And next, she moved on to Raeesah Khan.
Want to Ask Raeesah Khan and Workers’ Party Some Questions
It’s no secret that Xiaxue isn’t a fan of Raeesah Khan.
She then referred to a tweet by Raeesah Khan who has once said that her politics are based on two things: Angela Davis’ political views and intersectional feminism.
I know I’m losing you, because when you see the phrase “left wing”, you might think that a left-wing politician is a mutant who has a hidden wing underneath his shirt…on his left.
Xiaxue then moved on to the chim-er things in politics, but focuses on Angela Davis.
Because this is Goody Feed and not Politico, I’ll save you the torture and just say one thing: Angela Davis allegedly leaned a lot to the left.
If you want an example, just think of it this way: she’s like a very strict teacher.
Reader Bao: I still don’t get it
If a teacher has a wing on her left shoulder, she ensures that you go for your recess time at 10am and come back at 10:20am. If she has a wing on her right shoulder, she just ensures that you have your recess time, preferably for 20 minutes.
If she has a wing in the middle of her (centre), then you can go for your meal for about 20 to 30 minutes at around 10:15am.
Get it so far?
Reader Bao: Still very chim
Alamak then just vote based on the policies given by parties lah.
So eventually, what Xiaxue wanted to know is that if Raeesah Khan’s views are really based on Angela Davis, and why Workers’ Party has fielded someone who wanted the recess time to be at exactly 10am to 10:20am.
Reader Bao: Goody Feed has lost its way
Ok, feel free to cancel us when we’re trying to wake you up.
Reader Bao: You guys have tried too hard. You shouldn’t try to pretend you guys are educated
That’s agak agak what Xiaxue has written, and she ended with this: “I would rather any opposition joker win than her.”
And on a side note, candidates have been talking about NCMP (Non-Constituency Member of Parliament) in recent days. So, what’s an NCMP? Do you know that it’s just like an MP but the allowance is much lower? Watch this video to find out more:
