I hope you’ve kept your stomach empty for dinner and supper.

Over in Yishun, BKK Bistro & Bar opens its doors from 5.30pm to 3.00am every day.

What makes it even better is that you can get their boat noodles starting at the extremely low price of S$0.80.

You’re definitely not going to be a scrooge on this one.

And it’s not just one type, you actually have six different toppings to choose from.

They are prawn, beef ball, beef slice, pork ball, pork liver or pork slice.

If you’re a bigger eater, buying more than one to sample them doesn’t sound like a bad choice.

Or you can just go for a medium-sized S$7.80 one at or super-sized version at S$20.80.

The latter is especially good with a group, considering that it has all the toppings inside.

It’s got a pretty picture-worthy spot for those wanting a quick snap, recreating the outdoor market vibe of Thailand travellers definitely miss.

More Than Just Noodles

It wouldn’t be the complete Thai package if it only served noodles.

Like the green curry shown above, other dishes include seafood salad, fried lala (clams) and basil pork or beef rice.

There’s even a large seafood hotpot that your group (of 5) can share and it’s packed with seafood and mushrooms.

They also serve a variety of drinks and desserts that you can check out at their menu over here.

Do keep in mind that the usual five-person per table rules apply if you’re going and to keep your masks on until you start dining.

How To Get There

The eatery is located in ORTO, a hidden gem that Yishunites, even the cats there, kept as their own secret hideout.

You can actually get there once you exit Khatib MRT station.

Head out of the gantry to the left, going past exit B and walk for about slightly under 10 minutes to get there.

The place is located opposite the Yishun stadium.

For routes by car or bus, you can check out more information from the eatery’s website here.

If you’re driving, make sure you’re not a P-Plater because it takes some skills to navigate the kampong-style one-lane road into ORTO.

Their address is as follows: BKK Bistro And Bar, 81 Lorong Chencharu, Singapore 769198.

Do note that ORTO will be closing in 2023, though; you can watch this video to know more:
