Yole Staff Caught Dipping Used Spoon on Tub of Food; Yole Has Responded

When I was told I’m given an article about Yole, I thought I was finally free of the COVID-19. Symptoms of the COVID-19 include a complete takeover of a website to only include content about COVID-19.

That’s right, my dear readers. We are talking about hygiene in this article.

Yole Staff Double Dipped Into Tub Of Food

On the Facebook page Sure Boh Singapore, footage taken from a Yole outlet in United Square was posted and described as “gross”.

Of course, you already knew what it is from the headlines, and you can click the embedded link to see the full 31-second video. But here is the important few seconds:

If you caught what the employee did; you can see she clearly double-dipped there. That’s basically like putting her entire mouth in there!

The date and time of the incident aren’t known, but it started circulating around social media on 18 March 2020 or earlier.

Now, to be fair, we don’t know whether that tub is for sale. It’s also pretty unclear what exactly the thing is, but a Stomp user identified it as rock melons.

Yole Has Responded

On the evening of 18 March 2020, Yole put out the following Facebook post:

Yole had “taken immediate action” with their franchisee for “necessary disciplinary actions for the staff involved”.

They also assured customers that they are “100 percent committed to serving safe and quality food” and apologised for the unpleasant experience.

According to the Stomp post, SFA is also currently investigating this incident.

Now, after seeing that clip, I’m sure some of you are like:

Which definitely will happen considering Facebook comments to Yole.

So Here’s Where I Ask You Guys To Chill

Naturally, people don’t like to eat other people’s spits. So the only thing we should be spitting are facts.

Fact 1: Yole employee double-dipped into a bucket of food.

Certainly, this is a big no-no if the food is meant for other people to consume. Which brings me to the next facts.

Fact 2: We don’t know whether that tub of food belongs to Yole or her.

Despite the tub looking like a store’s food container, and the spoon also looking like the Yole spoon, we don’t know for sure it belongs to Yole.

Fact 3: We don’t know whether those are for sale.

It could be close to expiry food that’s no longer for sale, but still edible. Or it could be given to the employees to eat for whatever reason. Or it could be her own tub.

Fact 4: We don’t know if the other employee had or needed to stop her.

Considering the above, it seems reasonable in certain situations if the other employee didn’t need to stop her.

There’s a lot of context that we can’t get from a 3-second clip, so let’s not jump to conclusions and assume the worse in people.

Peace.
