Woman Trapped Her Mother & Herself in Their Home After An Argument
At around 2:35pm, a 63-year-old woman had an argument with her 93-year-old mother, and it seems to be a pretty heated one…
…to the point where the police were called.
When the police arrived, the daughter likely panicked and thought it was a great idea to lock both herself and her elderly mother in the house.
Fearing that the daughter might harm both herself and her mother, the police sent in their crisis negotiation team to talk her down.
The civil defence forces set up safety air cushions, while the Disaster Rescue Team (DART) was standing by.
At 8:45pm, the police managed to break into the house and arrest the 63-year-old.
No one was harmed during the incident.
The Daughter Was Acting Abnormally Prior to the Incident
According to the neighbour upstairs, 70-year-old Mr Zhuo, “The mother isn’t in the best of health and her daughter takes care of her. She is very filial.”

He added, “She was fine before but in the past few weeks, she started behaving abnormally. She sometimes talked to herself.”
He wasn’t aware of the incident at first.
He only realized something’s going on when the civil defence officer knocked on his door and asked if they could cast a safety net from his kitchen window.
The Mother Borrowed Her Neighbours’ Phones to Call the Cops
It seems like this “thing” between the mother and the daughter might have been going on for quite some time.
According to a neighbour, who declined to be named, the mother once borrowed a mobile phone from him to call the cops.

Another neighbour revealed that the mother borrowed his handphone once as well.
“She seemed worried that her calls couldn’t go through to the police. After I’ve lent her my phone, she contacted the police asking for help.”
“She also let them know that her phone couldn’t reach them for some reason,” he added.
Son is Surprised that the Incident Happened; Has No Idea Why
After the incident, a reporter from Shin Min Daily News《新明日报》talked to the 93-year-old mother.
At that time, the mother was sitting on her bed, looking calm and composed.

A man who claimed to be her son said that he was at work at the time of the incident.
Only after he received a call from the police about the situation did he know something was wrong at home.
“As for what really happened, I have no idea.”
