People say that if you want to be successful, you have to emulate successful people. But one young entrepreneur in China might have taken it a tad bit too far.
Paid 1 million yuan for plastic surgery to look like his personal hero, Jack Ma
Jack Ma is a real-life rags-to-riches story which has resonated with many young people all around the world, proving that family background is not the main factor to be successful.Â
So it comes as no surprise that he’s the personal hero of many young businessmen around the world.Â
Huang Jian, a salesman from Shenzhen wanted to be like his personal hero so much he paid 1 million yuan (approximately S$206k) for plastic surgery to look like him.
He plans to enrol at Hupan University, a private college opened by Jack Ma himself to teach young entrepreneurs on starting up their own businesses.
And the main reason why he underwent the surgeries is to get his education funded meet his hero in person.Â
But that’s not the saddest thing
The saddest thing is he doesn’t look like Jack Ma, at least from the pictures.
At least not as good as these guys
And they didn’t have to go through surgery for it.Â
But you know what they say, right? Fake it till you make it.
