Have you ever seen your mother in a bikini?
For me, I haven’t. And I don’t really want to too. I’m sure my straight brother would agree.
It’s just that coming from a conservative Chinese household where I have always been told to “cover up” and the general idea of seeing your own mother in a bikini is just a tad bit disturbing y’know?
And Zoe Tay’s son and I are on the same page. We both don’t want to see our mothers in bikinis.
But… his reason might be a little different from ours.
Zoe Tay’s Son Displeased With Her In A Bikini
At age 51, Zoe Tay still looks as amazing as ever.
Look at her! She doesn’t look a day over 50!
However, her 14-year-old son, Brayden thinks otherwise.
On a family trip to Bali, he was not happy when he saw his mum in a bikini.
According to AsiaOne, the boy kept saying that she was fat.
And when the family to the Maldives this year, Brayden also refused to let her put on her bikini.
Zoe Wondered If She Really Was “Fat”
Zoe shared that Brayden kept saying that she was fat and it made her wonder if she really was.
However, she thinks that it might be because her little boy is growing up and he is getting to an age when he may feel uncomfortable seeing his own mother showing “too much skin”.
It might also be because her kids aren’t used to seeing her in swimwear as they rarely go to the beach.
The veteran actress has been married to pilot Philip Chionh for 24 years and they have had three sons: Brayden, eleven-year-old Ashton and eight-year-old Nathan.
What Her Co-Star Has To Say About This
Upon hearing this, Pierre Png, Zoe’s co-star for the upcoming Mediacorp series- My Guardian Angel told Shin Min News mockingly that “He (Brayden) can’t be this selfish, there are other men out there as well. Besides, I think Zoe is really hot.”
Well, he isn’t wrong.
Busy With Her Second Eldest
Ashton, her second son is taking his Primary School Leaving Examinations (PSLE).
Even though the celebrity mum has said that she doesn’t really put much pressure on her son, the stress is still on Ashton to follow in his brother’s footstep to perform well.
Brayden had scored a total of 270 for his PSLE.
Wah.
For all you Zoe Tay fans out there, catch her on My Guardian Angels, set to premiere on 6 April 2020, 9pm on Channel 8.
