I have a bad habit of charging my phone and listening to music with my earphones at the same time—not to mention my colleagues will nag at how loud I play my music.
I think by the time I am in my 40s, I might go deaf but let’s leave that topic for another day.
While I might not stop listening to my music in full blast, I am definitely going to stop using my phone when it is charging.

What happened
On 18 Feb, a girl in Riacho Frio, Brazil, Luiza Pinheiro was allegedly electrocuted to death by her smartphone, The Sun reported.
She was found unconscious on the floor of her home at about 5 P.M. before being rushed to the hospital.
According to the medical record, she was admitted to the hospital one hour after the electric shock.
A spokesperson for the hospital said: “The girl’s grandmother told the doctor that they found her granddaughter unconscious, lying on the floor.”
“They said they believe that the young woman had an electric shock because the cell phone was charging and the phone was melted,” the spokesperson added.
The cause of death has yet to be confirmed as of writing time.
But her family believes that she was electrocuted as she was using the phone while it was charging and the phone was melted.
Can we use our phone while charging?
Isn’t that the million dollar question?
Well, there is no clear answer to it but you will be better off charging your phone with a manufacturer-approved charger as opposed to a third-phone charger.
The former will be equipped with safety measures during manufacturing.
Or you could just take a power nap while charging!
