Right, death hoaxes. Where do we start?
Over the years, there have been a series of publicly-advertised death hoaxes: Jackie Chan, Megan Fox, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber and The Rock are just some of the more prominent figures that were reportedly condemned to the grave.
But of course, as the name implies, it’s a hoax. The ‘victims’ are still very much alive, and probably raking in more cash this very minute than your whole month’s salary.
It never stops
You would think that these wannabe hoax creators would learn, but apparently not. There’s been another death hoax in town, and this time it involves a boxing legend.
Or the actor behind the legend anyway.
While the details aren’t exactly clear, the hoax seems to have stemmed from him sharing a fan poster for Creed II, the upcoming installment in the Rocky film series.
The news soon spread like wildfire, and RIP messages turned up everywhere, with some claiming Sly had passed from prostate cancer.
It didn’t help that fake news articles were being shared online either.
Before long, Twitter users were asking the same question:
It’s a hoax
But calm down, Stallone fans. The man’s very much alive, and he has responded to the claims in true Stallone fashion.
In a bid to prove his ongoing existence on Earth, the Rocky star took to Instagram with a video of himself messing around with his daughters Sophia, 21, and 19-year-old Sistine.
He also jokingly captioned the video: “Locking my daughters outside during a slight hail storm… It’s so great to be back from the Dead!!!”
You can watch the video at this link.
The Rambo star also posted an image clarification, with the description: “Please ignore this stupidity… Alive and well and happy and healthy… Still punching!”

And to cap it all off, he had an inspirational message for all.
“Remember to always grab LIFE by the throat and do not let go until you succeed!!!” he wrote on Twitter.
It wasn’t the first time
In 2016, Facebook users actually reported seeing a fraudulent message in September 2016, claiming that Stallone had been found dead in his home.
Subsequently, the Rambo star had to post a picture of himself on social media to quell the unpleasant rumors, although they were naturally dispelled when the hoax was revealed to be linked to a website reputed for creating and sharing celebrity death hoaxes.
Stallone might be 71 years old this year, but he doesn’t look like he’s gonna die of natural causes anytime soon. I mean; have you seen the guy?

Damn son.
So yeah, old Sly definitely has much more to offer to the Stallone-hungry audience.
And for those of you wondering, the Rambo star’s next film will be Creed II, which will released on 21 November 2018.
Time for some good ol’ Rocky action, eh? 🙂
