How do you know if you’re working in a great place with an awesome boss?

Well, aside from the 21 days of leave a year and a 14th-month bonus, I think a lot has got to do with the kind of person your boss is. A boss who cares about his employees and has a strict moral compass—now that’s what I’m talking about.

If you agree with what I’m saying, well, the following post by Twitter user @abnorxmal might just be what you need to brighten your Monday morning.

Here you go, the full post in its juicy glory:

For those of you who are expecting a summary from me, well, you’re getting one(I gotta do what I’m paid for, you know).

  • OP’s sister is a full-time tutor
  • Singaporean Chinese student’s parent complained to head of tuition centre that she did not want an Indian teaching her kid
  • Parents thought that the head of tuition centre would understand, coz’ he’s also a Chinese
  • Head of tuition centre took a broom and chased the Chinese mom and kid out of the tuition centre
  • (Limpeh don’t want to see you all in my tuition centre ever again)

BEST. PRINCIPAL. EVER.

I don’t know about you guys, but I would send my future kid to that tuition centre even if I have to drive him/her across half of Singapore.

@abnorxmal also penned her thoughts regarding the incident:

I’ve always believed that the most important form of education for a kid comes from his/her parents. After all, the kid will most likely spend his/her early years learning from the parents.

In other words, if the parents are a pair of racist bigots—well, you can be certain that the kid will most likely be one too.

We should act like the principal. With a broom in one hand, let’s sweep this kind of backward thinking into the annals of history!
