For today’s headline news, we have…

Two aunties in their 70s fighting in a coffee shop, with nothing but an umbrella and a plastic chair.

Hey don’t give me that look.

It’s a slow news day, so just take it with a grain of salt, alright?

What happened?

The incident occurred on Thursday morning (7 Dec), at the coffee shop of Pasir Ris Block 444.

Two elderly women in their 70s were spotted yelling at each other in Cantonese, before the one clad in a blue Polo Tee raised an umbrella and hit the other, who used a plastic chair to defend herself.

Incidentally, they were screaming “Ham kah chan” at each other, which is basically a Cantonese curse for “Your whole family die”.

Looks like someone’s been watching too much Ah Boys to Men 3.

Anyways, to make it easier for yours truly and the editor, I shall be calling the one with a plastic chair Mdm Plastic Chair, and the one wearing a blue Polo Tee Mdm Polo Tee.

Without further ado, let’s head on with the fight commentary. Goodyfeed style.

So Mdm Plastic Chair saw her chance and took it, launching a quick Plastic Chair push that saw Mdm Polo Tee get rebuffed.

Unable to handle all those successive Plastic Chair attacks, Mdm Polo Tee grabbed the chair…

And steadfastly refused to let go.

The ensuing tussle caused Mdm Plastic Chair to lose her footing and fall face up on a chair.

Even then, they continued struggling, until bystanders intervened.

Although it did take a while for them women to calm down.

So Jeffery, what do you think of this fight?

Well, Dick, I gotta say that it’s a close one. Mdm Plastic Chair pulled off an incredible counterattack at the start, but I dare say she let it affect her when the opposition grabbed her chair. And in a fight you can’t ever get affected. Right, Dick?

Precisely, Jeff. Which is also why I have to give it to Mdm Polo Tee for this one. Her aggressive attack at the start, her quick thinking and a fair bit of dirty play really racked up them scores.

Mmm, makes sense, Dick.

Provoked

According to Mothership, the fight allegedly started when the woman in blue (who’s a staff cleaner) was cleaning a table and she was provoked by the other woman in pink (believed to be a patron).

However, it’s suspected that they had an earlier dispute going on.

“Why didn’t you help?”

If you noticed throughout the video, the cameraman didn’t exactly step into help.

While it’s pretty understandable, seeing how Stomp’s all the rage nowadays, he was called out on it.

His response?

He was not done eating yet.

Well to be fair, this guy does have a legit excuse.

And honestly, it’s something that’s kinda hard to come up with nowadays.

Nevertheless, we would like to salute the intervening passer-bys for helping out, even though they were fully aware that they could be hit by an incoming plastic chair or umbrella anytime.

Mad respect.
