It’s sort of official over here in Singapore: if you place an egg on the ground in an unsheltered area, it will be cooked within minutes. Never go full retard with your eggs now, because it’s really going to be hot these two weeks.

In case you’ve been hiding in your air-conditioned office for the last few days, here’s the thing: due to the El Nino phenomenon and the dry and warm air mass, the second half of March 2016 is going to be way hotter than usual, with temperature reaching 33 deg C to 36 deg C. Just for your info, NEA has verified that it won’t reach 40 deg C as rumoured.

But 36 deg C is still hell.

In Malaysia, though, it’s slightly different: up to the farthest north of Malaysia, the temperature hasreached 39.2 deg C. All outdoor activities will be stopped, and guess what: the Education Ministry there has decided whether certain schools would be closed due to the usually hot weather.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department has projected that the heatwave could last until May or June.

Wah.

Whereas in Singapore, most of us are just complaining again and again. But here’s one good news: according to the weatherman, it will rain this afternoon (21 March 2016). Whether the weatherman has predicted the weather correctly isn’t certain, but for the first time, we’re hoping that he’s right.

Or hopefully, schools in Singapore will also close?
