I have quite a few pairs of jeans that can no longer be used because I have lost lots of weight and it will take forever for me to get back to where I was. So when I was given this article to write, I got really excited thinking of all the things I could do with my old jeans. For those of you who also have similar problems with old jeans, you might want to try out these experiments. After all, those jeans weren’t very cheap to start with.
Shorts
This is probably one of the best experiments to do unless you can’t wear your jeans anymore because of the waist size. Check out the tutorial here.
Bag
Turn your jeans into a fancy hand bag or tote bag. You don’t really see that many DIY denim bags going around, so it’ll be quite cool to have your own personalised bag. You can get the tutorial here.
Pencil case
Don’t fancy a bag? Well turn your old jeans into several pencil cases then! You can even give them as gifts or sell online. Watch the tutorial here.
Canvas Art
It doesn’t have to be as cheem as the one in the picture. You can just use your jeans to cover the canvas and use vinyl stickers to create a personal quote.
Pillow Covers
Now you don’t have to go to Spotlight or IKEA to get fancy pillow covers. Recycle your old jeans into cushion covers and you’ll be sure to impress your guests. Especially if you recycle your atas jeans, you know, like Tommy or whatever.
Rug/Mat
That’s right, a rug. This works especially well for those who have several pairs of old jeans like me. You can choose to make a smaller version or a bigger one – it depends on how many pairs of jeans you can sacrifice. Watch the tutorial here.
Bucket
A bucket for keys, remote controllers or even your cosmetic brushes. It’s so cool and easy, you will want to give it a try now! Follow the tutorial here.
Place mat
Isn’t this a novelty to have at home? You don’t see anyone else serving dishes with these kind of place mats. Follow this tutorial and you’ll be sure to impress the guests. Just be sure to wash the jeans thoroughly first.
Baby Bib
Perfect for babies, you mummies will have more time to kill with this tutorial. It’s also a great personalised gift for mummies-to-be.
Charging phone pouch
This needs to be in everyone’s homes!!! It’s a chore to have short cables and high wall plugs. So turn your jeans into a charging pouch and you’ll be more than satisfied. After all it does look chic and pretty. Get the tutorial here!
