We are all familiar with this person’s face, regardless whether we watched channel 5, or Channel 8, or whatever. Because at some point of time, we would’ve watched Police and Thief, or The Noose, and we would’ve remembered him for his funny antics. However, he’s not just another actor, not just someone who talks nonsense and go crazy on the TV. Here are 10 fascinating facts about him.
He grew up in a kampung
He sure looks young, but he is really not that young. When he was a child, kampungs were still a thing and he happened to live in one, located in Punggol. The first 16 years of his life was spent in Jalan Kampung Tengah, Punggol, until it was demolished and they moved to Hougang.
He was a shy person in school
In his own words, he was a “shy and quiet child” in school, one who was so timid that he would rather hold his bladder than interrupt the teacher to ask for permission to visit the restroom. And many of his teachers were shocked to find him working as a comedian.
Being Micheal Jackson changed his life
When he was selected for a school performance, he panicked, but later got his wits together and came up with the idea of spoofing the late King Of Pop Michael Jackson, creating a character that he named “Montfort Jackson”, which turned out to be very popular among his schoolmates. It was then he realised that he got a talent in comedy.
He studied in Tampines JC
Yeah, he basically went to school there. A little far from Hougang actually. which was where he stayed.
