1. IT

This upcoming movie is an adaptation of Stephen King’s 1986 horror novel with the same name. The film tells a story of children being terrorised by a clown and deals with themes such as memory and childhood trauma.

2. Split

This psychological horror film is about a man who has 23 different personalities. Three girls were abducted and held captive by the man – at the same time meeting various personalities. It also puts you to question what society has for dissociative identity disorder.

3. Friday the 13^th

If you’re a fan of Friday the 13^th, there will be a new franchise and it is much anticipated as Jason Voorhees returns for 2017! And this time, he is really getting down to business.

4. Annabelle 2

Fans of Annabelle can look forward to this prequel as it is focused on a dollmaker and his wife, whose daughter died tragically about twenty years earlier. Soon, the couple decided to open their home to a nun and several girls. Everything was cool until Annabelle herself sets her sights on the children.

5. Patient Zero

With the theme of fantasy-horror, many can look forward to this movie as it is about a pandemic outbreak and investigating infected humans. The leads in this movie aim to find an antidote to save humanity, including his infected wife with his team.

6. Insidious: Chapter 4

This movie is something out of a norm, why? Because no movie plots were released which makes us anticipate the movie more, especially after the previous franchises was a hit.

7. XX

This movie is something new and fresh as it shares an all-female horror anthology! Creative, right? We can look forward to the four deadly tales by the four main leads.

8. Crepitus

If you want something which involves family horror, this is the movie to anticipate! It is about a seventeen-year-old and her brother moving in to a deceased grandfather’s house. That was when they learnt horrific things about their family – including a cannibalistic clown which share the same name as the movie.

9. Saw: Legacy

Similarly to Insidious: Chapter 4, Saw had released a continuation to their own franchise and it’s something to look forward to especially after Saw 3D went on hiatus for six years. It is indeed much anticipated as we get to watch the continuation of the movie!

10. The Dark Tapes

This film uses the found footage concept mixed with fictional horror – thus a splendid combination. It shares four interlocking tales which bring into one anthology. And this results to more curiosity among the leads.
