Females are emotional creatures who have to deal with a lot more shit than the males, that’s why they mature faster than the opposite species. 8th March was International Women’s Day – having such a day simply means there is a lot about females that need to be celebrated and commemorated. Well, these ife-changing shits a girl goes through in her life makes her stronger.
Death of a close family member
Death affects everybody but for a girl, it affects her more because she is more emotional. Deaths usually make her stronger and appreciative of her own life.
Breakup with THE one
Because while girls get over a breakup faster, it’ll hurt her like shit when she breaks up with the guy that she thought was her soul mate; the man of her dreams. It definitely makes her stronger once she picks herself up and finds a guy better than you.
Getting pregnant/having babies
Motherhood changes a lot of women, especially teenage mothers. Getting pregnant is no small deal; it’s a life and death matter. Also because she has to go through 9 months of intense discomfort and then a few hours of close to death experience as they push the baby out.
Being betrayed by a friend
It’s ultimate life-changing event. Nothing matters more to a girl than her friends, and betrayal changes her.
Getting her period
Obviously. It makes any girl stronger. Days of cramps every single month. It’s like being stabbed. Periods make her stronger physically and mentally.
Getting cheated on
And breaking up or divorce. While some girls take time to get back up, it does serve as a lesson to women not to trust men too easily. They become stronger and more independent because they don’t need to rely on a man for happiness.
Becoming a boss
Because it’s not easy for a girl to become a boss. Men don’t like it, and in the office, she’ll probably face a lot of troubles and discrimination. Yet it makes her stronger because she learns to overcome it.
Battling cancer or other chronic illnesses
Again, girls seem to have more willpower than boys. Falling sick matures her even more and she emerges stronger so that she can recover.
Having to move to different living space or country
Girls are emotional and tend to be deeply attached to their homes; places of security. Having to shift or migrate might be heartbreaking but it makes her stronger because she learns to adapt and make the best out of things.
Getting new dad or mum and step siblings
It was a life-changing event for me and I must say it made me stronger and more mature. It made me understand more about love and why some people needed it desperately. It strengthen my willpower to have a happy family too.
