Due to Singapore’s small size, you have probably explored all of what Singapore has to offer. Or so you think. Next time you plan a date or a nice family day out, you may want to consider these farms to spice up your day.

Qian Hu Fish Farm
For fish lovers, you must visit this place. They have fish species ranging from little guppies, to a huge Arowana spanning the length of your thigh. (the Arowana is beside the cashier if you’re interested in that) The farm features the largest variety of aquatic animals/plants, aquarium accessories and a cafe.

Location: 71 Jalan Lekar Singapore 698950

Hay Dairies
The only goat farm in Singapore to rear and produce goat milk in Singapore, it is home to 800 goats where you can also buy some fresh goat milk (available in original and chocolate flavours). For those who are lactose intolerant, consider trying their goat milk as it is lower in lactose.

Be an early bird to watch the goats being milked from 9am to 10:30am daily.

Location: 3 Lim Chu Kang Lane 4, Singapore 718859

Jurong Frog Farm
Jurong frog farm is the only frog breeder in Singapore and houses 20,000 American bullfrogs. Do we have any fans of frog porridge out there? This is a must visit for you then. Have a taste of their signature Deep fried frog meat, crocodile nuggets or royal hashima dessert.

Location: 51 (Plot 56) Lim Chu Kang Lane 6 Singapore 718864

Nyee Phoe Group/Gardenesia
Stepping into this flower garden is like stepping into Japan except instead of sakura, you see amazing decor and beautiful plants. It’s literally an Instagrammer’s dream come true.

Not only does this place sells potted plants, but also a wide array of decor although a really unique and rustic shelf made of a tree trunk can set you back about $3000.

End your tour of the place with a meal at their bistro which offers both western and local food. I personally recommend their Char grilled ribeye hor fun.

Location: 240 Neo Tiew Cres, Singapore 718898

Farmart
At Farmart, you can get up close and personal with mountain goats, rabbits, tortoise, bullfrogs, guinea pigs, hamsters, birds, fishes, etc. Farmart also offers programs such as an educational farm tour, treasure hunts, farm trail tours, etc.

Location: 67 Sungei Tengah Road, S(699008)

Oh Farms (Hydroponics)
Their tagline is “Healthy Living Starts With Healthy Food”. Oh Farms is a hydroponics farm – it basically means that their plants are grown in just water, not soil. Also, no pesticides are added so consumers can have a peace of mind knowing that their food does not contain pesticides. (Ingestion of pesticide is linked with cancer, obesity, infertility, etc.)

On a separate note, Oh Farms also has a butterfly lodge as well.

Max Koi Farm
Aside from koi fishes, Max koi farm also sells stingrays and Arowana fishes. In fact, they held auctions for their animals as well. Did you know that depending on quality, the price of a koi fish can range from $15 to $50,000. WHAT?!

Bollywood Veggies
Bollywood veggies boast planet friendly produce, grown without the use of fertilisers, pesticides or growth hormones. They also have an adjoining bistro serving local and fusion cuisine.

Viknesh Dairy Farm
This is the one and only cow farm in Singapore. Similar to Hay Dairies, Viknesh dairy farm also produces fresh milk (cow milk, not goat milk). There is hay available on site for you to purchase and feed the cows.
