Clubbing can be really fun and exciting if you go with the right people, but as you get older, you will realise that going to a bar is better than going to a club in so many ways.
Here are 10 reasons to go to a bar instead of a club.
Less packed
If you have seen the crowd at Zouk after most of the clubs closed down, you’ll know that the remaining clubs are now so full of people you thought it’s a tourist attraction. You know that feeling at Universal Studios where you have to queue an hour to get on an amazing ride? That’s what it feels like now in the clubs.
Long mad queues
You’ll probably need to queue for entering bars too, but it’ll never be as crazy as the queue for a club. It feels like a Public Holiday every time at the club queues.
Accidentally touching someone’s sweaty body
You’ll get a lot of your personal space or freedom in a bar. You won’t have to worry about accidentally touching sweaty bodies or hair.
Chill with your friends
A bar is definitely one of the great places to chill and enjoy a beer with your friends. You can enjoy some nice city views if you go to a rooftop bar too.
Have real conversations
You can have some heart-to-heart talks in a bar whereas in a club conversation probably means “Where are you? We lost you,” or constantly shouting in your friends’ ears because they simply cannot hear you.
Sit down and drinking a beer
This is the place where you can actually sit down and drink comfortably, not stand and get squashed or keep twerking because it would be weird to just stand still in a club.
Stop contacting strangers for guest list
That’s what people have to do to get free entry to clubs: texting some stranger your friend gave the number of to get into the guest list.
Not having to deal with the usual club dramas
Not having to deal with the usual club dramas which typically include fighting, chanting and vomiting. Go to a bar and only deal with vomiting.
You know what you’re paying for
You know you’re paying for drinks in a bar, but at the club, it seems more like paying to get squeezed and squashed, and a really bad body ache the next day.
Relax and not chiong
A night out should be relaxing and comfortable. You have enough stuff to chiong about, such as your exams or chionging for the train.
