Get Your Data Roaming Sorted Out
Starhub and Singtel offer some good roaming data plans, which are much better than getting a temp SIM in JB. All of you get to keep in touch on your WhatsApp chat group and have a solid data connection. Did I forget to mention that you might need your GPS on standby on your iPhone?
Cashcard & Touch-n-Gos
You can ensure that you have sufficient credit on your cash card before you leave Singapore. As for Malaysia’s version of EZ-Link card, the Touch-n-Go, purchase them at the booths on the left sections of the toll booths. This is right after you pass the Malaysian customs. I’d suggest you top up your cards to about RM100 for any expenses on the road.

If someone needs to take a leak or get a bottle of water, send an SMS blast or a WhatsApp message. You don’t want to be left behind while paying for a drink.
