We’ve previously written about where you can find rare and powerful Pokemon in Singapore but not all of us are in it for strong Pokemon, right?
How about the cute factor? Just like the Pokemon Fan Club Chairman and his fellow Pokemon lovers, there are people who don’t evolve (or what some say, Peter-pan) their Pokemon because they’re cuter in their lower evolution stages.
Here are 12 cutest Pokemon (voted by writers in this very office) in Pokemon Go and where to find them in Singapore!
Eevee
They’re practically everywhere, but if you just can’t seem to come across one, you can check out these places where they’re said to hang out. Looking at Eevee will make your day brighten up immediately.
- Orchard Road
- Claymore Road
- Bishan Park
- Along Bishan St 22
- Outside Mushroom Cafe, Lornie Rd, Singapore 570000
- NEX
- Outram Park
- Bishan-Ang Mo Kio Park
Growlithe
Dog lovers, you’ll love this. Doesn’t this remind you of chow chow?
- Parkway Parade
- Geylang Swimming Complex
- Shelton International College
- East Coast Park Carpark C1
- Japanese Garden
Jigglypuff
Round, pink and large blue eyes. That’s the perfect recipe for cuteness if there’s ever one. Girls love the ever-loving shit out of this cuddly Pokemon.
- Beside People’s Park Complex
- NUS
- Chapel Of Christ The Redeemer
Oddish
Also lovingly nicknamed baby kailan, 90’s kids will remember this Pokemon as the one Misty tried to capture because it’s just too cute to resist.
Poliwag
Resembling a blue, spherical tadpole, looking into its doleful eyes will make anyone go aww. Yes, even guys.
- Singapore Botanic Garden – Near Swan Lake & Cluny Road
- Geylang Park Connector – Near Casuarina Cove
- Clementi Woods Park
- Jurong Point Fairprice Xtra (A writer of ours caught his there when he was grocery shopping)
Vulpix
So. Fluffy. Guys, if your girlfriend is angry with you, just catch her one of these and she’ll forgive you immediately.
- Phou Tai Kok Temple
- Outside Junyuan Secondary School
- NEX Shopping Centre – Near Adidas & Sketchers
Clefairy
Another pink, round Pokemon with short, stumpy limbs that (barely) resemble a star. This Pokemon has been making its rounds around Singapore, and SIM students might have seen it during class.
- Singapore Botanic Garden – Near Burkill Hall
- Outside Woodgrove Condominium
- SIM
- ArtScience Museum
Chansey
If you remember the Pokemon cartoon that first came out (90s kids, remember the original series?), you’ll know that Chansey was the Pokemon that helped out with Nurse Joy at the Pokecenter.
It’s pretty apt that you can find Chansey at these places:
- Khoo Teck Phuat Hospital
- Changi General Hospital
Snorlax
A gentle giant who gets mad when he’s disturbed from his sleep. Just how cute is that? Very. And a lot of Singaporeans love it as you can see from how they ran across the road in front of moving vehicles when one was spotted at Hougang.
- Woodlands Ave 1
- Bedok Point
- Vivo City
- Ngee Ann Polytechnic
- 401 Hougang Ave 10, Singapore 530401
- 5 Tampines Central 6, Singapore 529482
- Tampines Street 83
Charmander
He might be one mean looking lizard when he grows up (evolved) to be Charizard but he’s just too cute when he’s a baby. You’ll love him even more if you know the backstory behind Ash Ketchum’s Charmander.
- Aljunied-Hougang Zone 8
- East Coast Park – Near BBQ Pit 14
- Bedok Point
- Yishun Park – Near Yishun Country Club
Pikachu
And how can we neglect this Pokemon? We were still debating if we should include Pikachu since it’s so mainstream, but hey, if there’s no Pikachu, it won’t be Pokemon.
- Resort World Sentosa
- Tampines West Community Club
- The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands
- Woodlands (This was told by one of our writers who caught hers there)
- Walk away from the 3 beginner Pokemon given by Professor Willow when you first start the game and a Pikachu will pop up.
Squirtle
This picture doesn’t do Squirtle justice. The cute Pokemon’s actions when you’re trying to catch him will make you smile. And the funniest thing? One of their hangout places is at the Live Turtle Museum in Chinese Garden.
- Stadium MRT Station
- Chinese Garden – The Live Turtle Museum
- Heartland Mall – 205 Hougang Street 21, Singapore 530205
- Yishun Swimming Complex
