15 S’pore Malls Provide Free Parking During Selected Periods; Many Have Free Parking After 6pm Daily

If you’re a driver like me, there are a few things you can’t stand about driving in Singapore.

• That dumb S-shaped course in the driving test. (It’s a test designed by a sociopath)
• Drivers who refuse to give way, especially in heavy traffic jams
• Expensive parking

If you’ve driven in certain other countries, you’d feel a little something foreign in your body that you’ve never felt in sunny Singapore: freedom.

In certain countries, parking is not only cheap but readily available everywhere.

But Singapore is a tiny country where space is limited, so drivers have to pay for the space they take up, especially if they’re parking at shopping malls.

Or do they?

Shopping malls are almost always crowded with humans in Singapore. But due to the Covid-19 outbreak, many popular malls have turned into ghost towns.

I mean, even Jewel Changi is emptier than my bank account.

That’s why CapitaLand is now offering free parking at 15 of their malls.

From 14 Feb, 15 Capitaland malls will have free parking during different selected periods.

Here are the malls that’ll have free parking during the afternoon:

• Bedok Mall – 12:30pm -2:30pm (Mon-Sun & PH)
• Bukit Panjang Plaza – 12:30pm -2:30pm (Mon-Sun & PH)
• JCube – 12:30pm – 2:30pm (Mon-Sun & PH)
• Lot One – 12:30pm – 2:30pm (Mon-Sun & PH)
• The Star Vista – 12:00pm – 3:00pm (Mon-Fri excluding PH)
• Westgate – 12:30pm – 2:30pm (Mon-Sun & PH)

And here are the malls that have 1 hour of free parking or offer free parking after 6pm:

• Bugis Junction – 6pm – 8pm (Mon-Sun & PH)
• Bugis+ – After 6pm (Mon-Thu), 6pm – 8pm (Fri-Sun & PH)
• Clarke Quay – 6pm – 8pm (Mon-Sun & PH)
• Funan – After 6pm (Mon-Sun & PH)
• IMM – 1 hr Free Parking (Mon-Fri, excluding PH), valid for first entry, 6pm – 8pm (Sat – Sun & PH)
• Junction 8 – After 6pm (Mon-Sun & PH)
• Plaza Singapura & The Atrium @ Orchard – After 6pm (Mon-Sun & PH)
• Raffles City Shopping Centre – After 6pm (Mon-Fri), 6pm – 8pm (Sat-Sun & PH)
• Tampines Mall – After 6pm (Mon-Sun & PH)

Yes, you read that right, even Plaza Singapura and Bugis+ has free parking at night.
