807 New COVID-19 Cases Reported On 15 Sep; Two New Clusters in Nursing Homes

The good news; the number of COVID-19 cases has dropped slightly. The not-so-good news; more clusters at home were detected.

Here’s what you need to know.

807 New COVID-19 Cases Reported On 15 Sep

As of 12pm on 15 Sep 2021, the Ministry of Health (MOH) reported 807 new COVID-19 cases.

3 of them are imported cases that were placed on Stay-Home-Notice (SHN) or isolated upon arrival in Singapore; one of them was detected upon arrival while the remaining two cases developed the illness while serving SHN or isolation.

770 are cases in the community, and 34 are cases in the dormitories.

Hospital Situation

As of 12pm on 15 Sep 2021, there are 822 COVID-19 patients currently warded in hospital.

Most are well but there are 76 serious cases requiring oxygen supplementation, and 9 in critical condition in the ICU.

66 cases where the patient falls very ill are seniors above the age of 60.

As of 14 Sep 2021, 81% of our population has completed their full regimen/ received two doses of COVID-19 vaccines, and 84% has received at least one dose.

Updates on Active COVID-19 Clusters

Now, to the meat of the article; two new clusters have been detected, both of which are at nursing homes.

The first is the Orange Valley Nursing Home in Simei, which currently has 13 cases. It was reported that all 13 cases are residents of the home.

The second new addition is the Jamiyah home in West Coast Drive. It has 13 cases too; 10 of whom are residents while 3 are staff working in the home.

Two new cases were added to the new cluster added to the list yesterday at All Saints Home in Jurong East, bringing the total to 12 cases.

Three cases were added to the Ren Ci @ Bukit Batok Cluster, bringing the total to 32 cases.

The remaining clusters are as follows:

  • 7 Senoko South Road dormitory: 9 new cases detected, bringing the total to 26
  • Madrasah Irsyad Zuhri Al-Islamiah: 1 new case added, bringing the total to 11
  • 11 Tuas Ave 10 dormitory: 1 new case added, bringing the total to 23
  • Avery Lodge Dormitory: 5 new cases added, bringing the total to 87
  • DHL Supply Chain Advanced Regional Centre (1 Greenwich Drive): 7 new cases added, bringing the total to 71
  • Chinatown Complex: 11 new cases, bringing the total to 197
  • Hu Lee Impex (Chin Bee Avenue): 1 new case, bringing the total to 70
  • PCF Sparkletots Braddell Heights (335 Serangoon Avenue 3): 3 new cases, bringing the total to 27
  • 30 Sunview Way construction site: 5 new cases, bringing the total to 175
  • Sembcorp Marine Tuas Boulevard Yard: 3 new cases, bringing the total to 102
  • Bugis Junction: 1 new case, bringing the total to 318
  • Toa Payoh Bus Interchange staff: 3 new cases, bringing the total to 231
  • Tampines Bus Interchange staff: 5 new cases, bringing the total to 102
  • Boon Lay Bus Interchange staff: 5 new cases, bringing the total to 218
  • Bishan Bus Interchange staff: 1 new case, bringing the total to 41
  • Clementi Bus Interchange staff: 2 new cases, bringing the total to 65
