We’re two weeks away from the end of Circuit Breaker, and so far, results have been promising.

Well, at least in the number of local community cases.

Today, we have 682 cases.

This means we now have a total of 28,038 cases in Singapore.

Out of today’s cases, 4 are Singaporeans or Singapore PRs. Yesterday, there were also 4 Singaporeans who were infected.

A majority of the cases today are work permit holders residing in dormitories.

On average, based on yesterday’s numbers, the number of new cases in the community has decreased, from an average of 9 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 3 per day in the past week. The number of unlinked cases in the community has also decreased, from an average of 3 cases per day in the week before, to an average of 1 per day in the past week.

So what’s a linked case?

Just look at yesterday’s 4 local cases.

All 4 Cases Reported Yesterday Were Linked

The four Singaporean cases reported yesterday are all linked to dormitories.

The first case is a 31-year-old man who works as a dormitory inspector.

The second case is a 54-year-old man who works in Cochrane Lodge II. The other two cases, a 53-year-old woman and a 25-year-old woman, live with him.

Suffice to say, with more linked cases, it’d be easier to contain the spread.

As of yesterday, 8,342 patients have fully recovered and have been discharged from hospitals or community care facilities.
