Are you a fire starter? And no, I am not talking about creating drama.
I am talking about someone who deliberately lights things up aka arsonist.
Unless you’re Pyro, you have no reasons to light things up.
You know what’s worse?
Setting things on fire during Chinese New Year!
Let me introduce you to these 2 “champions” who decided to light up a field for fun!
What happened
According to South China Morning Post, two Chinese were posing for pictures after purposefully setting a field on fire.
The pictures were posted on Weibo on Saturday which has since been deleted after receiving negative comments from netizens.
The caption read, “Went up to the mountain to start a fire. We are two 30-year-old men.”
According to South China Morning Post, one of the men was from Suzhou in Anhui province.
Just take a look at the pictures:
So, you can tell that they were not remorseful at all. Maybe they did it for the gram?
Netizens’ reactions
The posts went viral for all the wrong reasons.
Even China’s fire service shared it, saying: [You’re] already 30 years old. Don’t you know starting fires is illegal?”
The message was then shared by two Anhui police Weibo accounts.
One netizen commented: “This is a form of environmental pollution. Lately, everyone has been focused on protecting the environment, but these men are destroying it.”
Were they caught?
After the backlash, the man who posted the pictures deleted his Weibo account by Monday morning.
It is unclear whether the men were caught for their stupid, dangerous act.
But if they were caught, they could have a sentence of up to 10 years in prison.
