And then, you step into the airport and sit on a 6-8 hour flight to get to your destination. You try your best to sleep, or maybe kill time by watching movies on the in-flight TV.

Either way, you can’t wait to arrive at your destination, get to your hotel and explore the city.

But what if someone told you at the airport that you had to take an aeroplane back home?

According to World Of Buzz, this was what happened to two Malaysian men, Muhammad Shaifuddin Muhammad Ab Haqqi Eng, 24, and Hasyemi Abdullah, 26.

The two men took to a Facebook group called Road To Korea to share their unfortunate experience at the Incheon Airport in South Korea.

Here is their account of what happened:

On 14 November, the pair took a flight to Incheon airport from KLIA2 at 1am in the morning. They were with a friend, Fadhli Maimun, 25 who did not get deported.

When they arrived at Incheon Airport, the trio went to the Immigration counter for security checks and then to get their passports stamped.

They were queueing up as per normal. At the time, five out of the seven counters were open because the other two were fast lanes.

When it was almost their turn, an officer allegedly told Shaifuddin and Hasyemi to go to a fast lane.

Officer Asked Them For Their Itinerary & Return Tickets

The officer then asked them for their itinerary and their return tickets. They had the details in their phone but did not print it out.

At this point, the officer reportedly “did not want to listen’ and directed them to a separate room to be interrogated.

At this point in time, their friend Fadhli had already passed through the immigration checkpoint.

The two were reportedly forced to stay in the “quarantine room” for seven whole hours and weren’t allowed to leave or even go to the toilet.

They spoke to Harian Metro, and said that they were disappointed with how the officer behaved. He wasn’t tolerant and allegedly didn’t try to listen to them even though they tried to “justify” themselves.

Deported

“Fadhli went to South Korea once before while this is our first time. We didn’t know that this is how their officers act.”

“Even though we tried hard to explain ourselves, at the end of the 7-hour-interrogation we had to follow through with their decision to deport us back to Malaysia.”

Shaifuddin expressed disappointment at the turn of events because he had been interested in Korean culture after watching shows like Running Man.

It’s scary to hear of such stories and we hope that Korea’s side of the story will be revealed.
