Amidst the novel coronavirus aka the COVID-19 outbreak, the grocery hoarding and surgical mask profiteering antics, life must go on.
For some Singaporeans, it is the prospect of building a future together or “proposing” to their bae by applying for a Build-To-Order (BTO) together.
In Singapore, this is one of the relationship milestones most couples are familiar with besides wrestling with a screaming baby and queueing up to buy Toto.
Indeed it is an exciting albeit slightly stressful period for them due to the stiff competition and unpredictability of the balloting process.
But never fear, because The Housing Board is constantly launching new BTO projects, and this is the first project to be launched in 2020, just in time for Valentines’ Day:
Everything About the 3,095 BTO Flats Launched In Sembawang & Toa Payoh
The Housing Board has launched 3,095 Build-to-Order (BTO) flats in the first sales exercise of the year yesterday.
In Toa Payoh Estate, the flats are split into two housing projects, one of which is in Kim Keat while the other is near Caldecott.
For those of you who are not keen on Toa Poyah, don’t worry because there is another BTO project in Sembawang.
Toa Payoh – Kim Keat Ripples and Toa Payoh Ridge
In Toa Payoh, there are 920 two-room flexi, three-room and four-room flats will be available at Toa Payoh Ridge that’s located between Caldecott and Braddell MRT stations.
The other location in Kim Keat is named Kim Keat Ripples and has 708 units in two-room flexi and four-room flats.
For both locations, the price of the flat begins at $90,000 before grants for a two-room flexi and $395,000 for a four-room flat.
Good news for those who are considering applying for a BTO in Toa payoh: Toa Payoh will undergo a makeover under HDB’s Remaking Our Heartland programme.
This includes new residential developments and facilities which you can look forward to.
But do note that Toa Payoh BTOs are in high demand.
For instance, the previous BTO launce in Toa Payoh (Kim Keat Beacon) in May 2018, four-room flats were four times oversubscribed.
Sembawang – Canberra Vista
Over in Sembawang, you can expect 1,467 units on offer ranging from two-room flexi to five-room flats and 45 three-generation flats.
The project will be called Canberra Vista and is located beside the newly opened Canberra MRT Station.
Prices begin from $89,000 before grants for a two-room flexi flat, $272,000 for a four-room flat and $355,000 for a three-generation flat.
Two upcoming developments will be built in the vicinity for new residents to enjoy including Canberra Plaza, a neighbourhood centre and Bukit Canberra, a 12ha integrated sports and community hub.
Do note that applications for the BTO close on 17 February. Grab bae and submit your applications here.
