Life can come and go in a flash.
One minute you could be walking on the road and casually scrolling through texts. The next, a speeding car collides into you and everything ends.
A good reminder to check the roads first.
What’s even scarier are the silent killers like a heart attack.
A creeping disease you cannot see and one that strikes even the seemingly most healthy of people.
Like one of Asia’s leading actors.
Heart Attack While Filming
It sucks even worse when you’re on the highway of success.
According to World Of Buzz, famous Taiwanese-Canadian model-actor Godfrey Gao passed away earlier today (Nov 27).
Reports from Chinese media such as EToday say that he had suffered from a sudden heart attack while filming a segment of the Chinese reality TV show ‘Chasing Me’ earlier today.
He was only 35-years-old.
That is way too young for someone to pass.
Witnesses during filming claim that Godfrey suddenly fell and lost consciousness.
Paramedics were called and 15 minutes of CPR was performed, where his heart stopped for three minutes before temporarily resuscitating.
However, despite being rushed to a nearby hospital at around 2.17 am, the actor passed away shortly after despite attempts to revive him.
As mentioned above, no one deserves to have their life taken away this young.
It’s simply too tragic.
Legacy Left Behind
It’s rare that an Asian has big breaks in Western media and Godfrey was certainly one of them.
His best remembered for his various film roles, including lead protagonist in Remembering Lichuan and as Magnus Bane in Mortal Instruments: City of Bones
He was also the first-ever Asian male-model to be appointed as the face of French fashion house Louis Vuitton.
The actor’s body is set to be transported back to Taipei today as well.
We hope that Godfrey will be able to rest peacefully. Condolences go out to his family as well.
Take care of yourselves and keep your loved ones close, dear readers. Things like this happen unexpectedly and you never know who might be next.
