I remember when I was young, my TV hours used to only be on Sunday mornings. A one-hour-long show of Doraemon was enough to keep me hooked and wanting more of it next week.
It is understandable that as kids, we are easily fascinated by cartoons and TV shows, as it opens up a whole new world for us. We learn new things through the world we interact in, and the shows that we watch.
Therefore, it is good to expose your kids to educational cartoons once in a while. However, there has to be a limit to everything, including your child’s screen time.
One parent is aware of this and is particularly conscious over his child’s screen time. However, he was outsmarted by his child instead.
3YO Girl Limited By Dad From Watching TV At Home; Watches Neighbour’s TV From Window Instead
A cute video was posted on Youtube, showing a three-year-old girl sitting at a window, staring intently at something outside. It turned out that she was watching TV from her neighbour’s house.
Tthis little girl from China was restricted from watching too much TV by her father. This was to make sure that her eyesight was well taken care of.
Her father would control the amount of screen time she spends, allowing only 15 minutes of TV time every day for her. Sounds like a reasonable and caring father.
However, the father recently started noticing that the girl would sit by the window at the same time every day. It’s funny how she would sit there for hours and not move, given that kids have a short attention span.
She would stare out of the window, and occasionally even bring snacks with her. What was she looking so intently at?
One fine day, the father decided to check out what his daughter had been looking at every day.
Lo and behold, she was actually watching their neighbour’s TV across the road.
How smart is this little girl?
Her father also said that she would cry when the neighbour closed the curtains at times, which amused him entirely.
I would say that even though she is cheeky to go behind her father’s back to watch more TV despite her restriction, she is smart beyond her years to have noticed her neighbour’s TV and took the chance to watch it.

Isn’t she just adorable?
