Last Updated on 2017-05-28 , 12:08 pm

Thanks to the new Downtown line, Bukit Panjang is now connected by MRT. While Bukit Panjang will certainly have a larger crowd than before, good news is that these five makan places will make everything so much more worth it.

Who cares about the crowd as long as you’ve got your good food to eat? Right? Right? Right?

1. 169 Fish Soup

If you are searching for something new, try this tom yam sliced fish soup ($4.50)It is unique on its own, with a good blend of flavours upon tasting. Fish slices are fresh and thick with no tinge of fishy stench.

Serving is pretty generous that will keep you full and satisfied. However, the Tom Yam soup resembles that of the Thai-style, hence it would be perfect for those of you out there who prefers a thinner textured soup!

Chin Choon’s dry prawn noodles take on a different style, with sweet dark soy sauce served with pork innards along with shelled prawns. Soup is fragrantly sweet with the aroma of prawn shells, pairing really well with the noodles.

Definitely one of the best prawn noodles in Singapore, you won’t want to miss if you stay in Bukit Panjang. Although the address reads Upper Bukit Timah Road, it is really only 5 minutes away from the Bukit Panjang LRT!
