When it comes to parks, Singapore had a great variety of them. Whether you’re living at Bishan or East Coast or West Coast, there’s definitely a park near you. And after sifting through each park, we’ve found the 5 best parks that’ll impress your special someone on your next picnic date!

Singapore Botanic Gardens

This will not come as a surprise. Botanic Gardens is famous for its beautiful nature and makes the perfect picnic ground. Not to mention it has plenty of space, which means you won’t be clamoring to find a spot with your partner. We suggest heading near the Shaw Foundation Symphony Stage, where it holds regular musical performances. Eating while listening to free live music? Why not?

East Coast Park

I especially love East Coast Park. I love sitting by the breakwaters and staring out into the sea. Somehow it instills this certain peace and calmness into me. But there’s this patch of land next to Starbucks that makes the perfect picnic spot. You can take a stroll by the beach before having your picnic there. While it may seem like a random patch, it’s absolutely gorgeous and just for a second, you’ll feel like you’re in a whole new country.

Labrador Nature Reserve

With a spectacular view of the sea, this is one of the best places to have your picnic at. Over there, you can take your pick on which spot you would like to sit. Rest assured that you’d definitely find a place there. And once you’re done, bring your girl/boy to take a romantic stroll at the boardwalk.

Punggol Park

At a much quieter part of Singapore, this place is perfect if you want to be away from people and bask in the company of your loved one. While you may see people jogging occasionally, it’s definitely less quiet than East Coast or Botanic Gardens. And there are spots there that’ll put you far away from people. Not to mention the greenery is stunning, and it’ll make a very insta-worthy photo for you to flaunt later on.

Bishan Park

Bishan Park is split into Area A and B. Right next to each other; this park is great if you’re looking at a place that is cozy and peaceful. We are in love with the sturdy rocks right next to the lake. Sitting there during the evening times just transforms the atmosphere into one worthy for a heart to heart session. Plus if your picnic fails or if your food somehow comes out tasting weird, know that there’s a Mc Donald within a few metres. Aftere all, you can never go wrong with a McSpicy.
