According to Vanity Fair, the movie made $427 million globally in its four-day opening weekend—beating Deadpool’s record of $152 million— and it has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

2) Chadwick Boseman

So, the man behind the black panther suit is none other than Chadwick Boseman.

He has appeared in films like Get on Up and Gods of Egypt, but this film catapulted him into the spotlight and he is set to appear in Avengers: Infinity War.

But that is not the nugget of wisdom I want to impart to you.

Did you know that this dude is 41 years old!

Well, I don’t know what’s his secret but I really wanna know.

3) Black Panther is just the title

Unlike other superheroes, Black Panther is the rank given to the king of Wakanda—the premise of the movie—which is T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman.

So, when his reign is over, there will eventually be a new Black Panther.

4) First black superhero

Yes, he was the first black superhero in mainstream comics, appearing in Fantastic Four, issue 52 in 1966.

And the movie is almost made up of black actors and actresses, breaking barriers in Hollywood, an industry that is predominantly white.

5) He married Storm

Yes, in the comics he is married to Storm from X-Men!
